Students who maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete 12 semester units, or who have graduated from high school with a 3.5 GPA, may join the ARC chapter of Alpha Gamma Sigma, the statewide organization of California Community Colleges Honors Societies. Permanent members are eligible for AGS state and chapter scholarships.

Alpha Gamma Sigma offers opportunities for developing leadership skills as well as forging friendships with some of ARC's best students. Members also receive special recognition at graduation. The many advantages, benefits, and possibilities as a member of AGS include:

Eligibility for scholarships offered from our chapter and from the State Organization
Awards of Recognition and Service from our chapter
Participation in activities on campus
Letters of Recommendation for transfer purposes and other endeavors
Election as an officer in our chapter
Develop leadership skills and civic responsibility
Create lifelong friendship
Eligibility to become a Permanent Member of AGS
