The Commercial Music Program at American River College is designed to prepare the student for careers in audio production, recording, and the music business.  Courses deal with economics, technology, management and techniques of a commercial music industry career. Specialized courses include recording studio techniques, the business of music, artist management, promotion, songwriting, studio management and production, and Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI).  In addition to classroom and lab work, you also can take advantage of the college's performance groups like the various jazz ensembles, as well as more traditional choral and instrumental ensembles.  See our Music Careers page for more information.
