Programs 

English as a Second Language
Courses are offered for students for whom English is not a native language, and include pronunciation skills, reading and vocabulary, composition, career writing skills, listening and speaking.  ESL Program information.

Journalism
The community journalism program provides knowledge and skills to prepare students for entry-level work in community newspapers and organizational publications. It also prepares students for transfer as mass communication or journalism majors at California State University campuses. Philosophy (General Education/Transfer)
Logic, ethics, classical philosophy, philosophy of social sciences, philosophy of religion, religions, ethics and morals, modern philosophy.  Philosophy program information.

Sign Language Studies
Designed to prepare students to work with deaf people at the paraprofessional level, including training as a teacher's aside, counseling aide, or management aide. An Interpreting Certificate is also available.  Sign Language Studies program information.

Speech Communication (General Education/Transfer)
Persuasive speech, argumentation and debate, forensics, oral interpretation, listening, voice and diction, communication theory, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, group discussion.  Speech Communication program information..
