Assessment

The Assessment Center provides a variety of testing services, designed to ensure that students are placed in the appropriate math and English classes, as well as classes in other subject areas.

Assessment tests are scheduled regularly, with no fee. These include English, reading, math, chemistry and English as a second language. Test results do not affect admission to ARC, but may affect the classes in which you can enroll. (If you believe that your test score does not accurately represent your level of knowledge, please discuss this with an ARC counselor.)

When you have completed this orientation, you will be shown a checklist that includes the link to the Assessment Center's testing calendar. Test results are available immediately after completing the test. 

The Assessment Center is located in the Student Services Building. Office hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Tuesday-Wednesday 8:00 a.m-8:00 p.m.  Phone: (916) 484-8423.
