E-Mail to Veterans Affairs Office
The ARC Veterans Affairs Office, located in the administration building, was established to expedite the processing of V. A. Educational Benefit paperwork and coordinate with other campus services.
New students should contact the office at least two months prior to the term they plan to attend to initiate required paperwork. Continuing students also should check in at the VAO at least two months prior to the next term of attendance to complete any paperwork that might be required for continuous VA payment. In addition, all recipients must confirm their classes with the Veterans Affairs Office after completion of registration and once again the week before final exams begin.
All material submitted to the Veterans Administration takes approximately two months for processing through the regional processing center at Mustogee, OK.
After enrolling at ARC, a veteran may apply for evaluation of military service experience for college credit. A copy of the veterans DD214 separation paper must be submitted at the Veterans Affairs Office and a petition completed during the first semester of attendance. Credit granted for military service is based on A Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services, published by the American Council on Education. In addition, Section E, Living Skills, of the ARC Graduation Requirements, will be considered fulfilled for veterans who receive credit for military service.
