The ARC Career and Job Opportunity Center offers an array of resources to assist students in choosing career options, planning for college, and researching current job openings. Computerized career guidance programs aid in researching occupations, finding which colleges offer specific majors, personality analysis as related to careers, college search and entrance requirements, and more.

The Career Center offers workshops on resume development, job search strategies and interview information each month. In addition to those, the Career Center offers workshops on Career Exploration and Internship/Work Experience.

Employment services are available to students who desire part-time, full-time and/or summer jobs. Students are encouraged to apply for jobs related to their majors in order to obtain relevant work experience. Current job listings are posted online at www.losrios.edu under Job Connection.  Other job listing web sites are also available.

Additional services include current labor market information and on-campus recruitment by employers. The Center also sponsors a Career Fair in October which is attended by an average of 85 employers.

The Career and Job Opportunity Center is located in the Student Services Building. All services are provided at no charge. A print card is required for materials printed from the computer.  Call (916) 484-8492 for additional information.
