Sacramento County Probation Department
Student Internships

Minimum of ten hours per week

Requirements:

• Enrollment in a college accredited by an agency recognized by the Probation Department's Background & Hiring Unit
• Sophomore status or above, current GPA of at least 2.0
• Enrollment in the school's intership program
• Ability to complete a variety of physical tasks such as standing, walking, running, stooping, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting adults and/or juveniles, which requires strength, coordination, endurance, and agility
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, both orally and in writing
• Be a US citizen or a permanent resident alien who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship
• Possession of a valid, current CA Class C (3) Driver's license or higher and a good driving record
• A screening process, including fingerprinting, a criminal background check and TB test is required prior to beginning worl.
