Interlibrary Loan Program Purpose Interlibrary
Loan supports the instructional and research needs of the campus by
borrowing books and periodicals that are not owned by the American River
College Library. Every attempt is made to borrow materials first from the
libraries in the Los Rios District (SCC-Sacramento City College; CRC-
Cosumnes River College; EDC- El Dorado Center; FLC- Folsom Lake Center)
and libraries in California and throughout the United States. Eligibility Los
Rios faculty, staff and students are eligible for Interlibrary Loan
privileges. Students must
be currently enrolled to have borrowing privileges.
There is no charge for most interlibrary loan requests.
If there is a charge for material, patrons are notified in
advance for approval of changes. Submitting Requests Request
forms must be filled out completely. Time Factor Material
borrowed within the Los Rios district libraries will take two to
three days to receive. Material
borrowed from libraries outside the district may take from two
to three weeks. Use of Borrowed Materials
