ARC offers individual classes in a wide range of math and statistics subjects, as well an
A.S. degree in mathematics. Courses span a range of subjects, from basic arithmetic
and prealgebra all the way through the more advanced topics of statistics, calculus,
differential equations and linear algebra. The degree program gives students the
opportunity to complete the lower-division coursework in preparation for transfer to a
four-year program in mathematics. Mathematicians work as statisticians, analysts,
computer programmers, actuaries, researchers, planners, and educators. In addition, a
strong mathematics background provides the foundational basis for matriculation in numerous other
fields of study in science and engineering. A
Mathematics and
Statistics Information File (PDF) of the ARC catalog is available.
