Ensembles - American River College

Chamber Singers Through its concerts, both on and off campus, this organization has set artistic standards of high quality. Music from the Renaissance to the Twentieth Century provides a repertoire of exciting literature for the serious vocal music student.
Concert Choir The largest choral group on campus, the American River College Choir offers the vocal performer the opportunity to sing in an organization with musical standards which will insure a rich choral experience for both the performer and audience
Concert Band The Concert Band to those who have previous experience playing a brass, percussion, or woodwind instrument. All styles of music are performed including classics, 'pops', marches, and pep band. The band performs two evening concerts each semester. A few other select performances may be added. Emphasis is on learning and enjoying music making
Jazz Bands The daytime and evening Jazz Ensembles bring together skilled musicians who are interested in the "Big Band" idiom. These active organizations perform throughout the community and state.
Orchestra The seventy-piece orchestra performs literature from all musical eras. They often team up with some of Sacramento's finest instrumental soloists to perform works ranging from symphonies and concertos to film scores and jazz standards.
Symphonic Band The symphonic band is comprised of many of Sacramento's finest wind and percussion musicians. This band performs works for large ensemble and chamber music from all eras including traditional wind music, film music, and orchestral transcriptions
Vocal Jazz Ensemble This select musical organization has developed an outstanding local, state and national reputation for its superb vocal jazz stylings. The Vocal Jazz Ensemble travels internationally, participating in festivals and clinics.
