Production

We are a fairly small shop as far as equipment goes, but we make up for that in our customer service and our production numbers. We have two presses, two high speed copiers, and a color copier with network RIP for digital printing.

Printing

We have a very competent staff and have the ability to print a variety of documents for your department on a variety of paper stocks. Some of the things we can do for you include:

Bindery

Our inhouse bindery service has the ability to assemble documents in an increasing variety of ways. Currently we can:

• Staple from two sheets of paper up to a stack that is 7/8".
• Comb bind-you supply the combs.
• Tape Bind with gold foil printing on the spine-at a charge of $.50 per book.
• Saddlestitch

Xerox Nuvera 120 Copier

• Copies, prints, scans, and finishes concurrently at up to 120 images per minute.
• Handles a wide variety of paper types, sizes and weights, across up to 8 paper trays .
• Scans documents up to 12" x 18" from the platen, with automatic electronic deskewing.
• Integrated controller with easy-to-use interface provides full control and management of your print jobs.
• Customizable image quality controls give you flexibility to adjust the image quality settings to suit your needs and that of each customer. 
• Saves and stores jobs on the on-board hard drive, integrated CD-RW drive, or to a network drive for fast future reprints.

Xerox WorkCentre 90 Copier

The WorkCentre Pro 90 advanced multifunction system facilitates the movement of documents between the paper and digital worlds by providing printing, copying, and scanning capabilities for workgroups that require a complete array of document solutions.

Canon Color Copier

We also have a Canon Color Laser Copier 1180 that we can copy off the glass as well as print to from any computer in our department. There is a charge for using this machine and they are as follows:

• 8½ x 11 — 25¢
• 8½ x 14 — 30¢
• 11 x 17 — 35¢
• 8½ x 11 transparency — 90¢

Film Output

We have our film delivered to us from an offcampus vendor downtown. If your job is two color tight registration, or if it has pictures that you'd like to have at a better resolution, this may be an option for you.

Output Devices

With our Xante Platemaker-III, we are able to output your files, either through the network from your computer, or, from a disk that you bring in, to paper, film, or directly to plate. With our Canon Color Laser Copier 1180 and the ColorPass z400e rip server attached to it, we have the ability to output your images in full laser color. This is a high quality image compared to the images you may be used to from inkjet and most color laser printers. Follow this link for the PPD.

Scanners

We have the ability to scan any document that ranges from 8.5 x 14 and down for flat images, and most any 35mm film, or APS film.

Umax PowerLook 1120 1200 dpi flatbed scanner with transparency adapter for scanning hardcopy into tif or jpg format for inserting images into page layout programs.

Nikon LS2000 35MM and APS film scanner that captures images printable up to 8 x 10 with near drum scan quality.
