The Beavers
finished sixth at the NorCal finals at Ft. Washington Country
Club in Fresno. Peter Lansburgh and Jeremiah Kim tied for
fourth in the individual scoring with a two-round score of 149,
qualifying both golfers for the State Championships next Monday,
May 14, at Merced Golf and Country Club. The team just missed
qualifying for the State tournament, as only the top four scores
advance as a team. |

In the final
Big 7 Tournament of the season, the Beavers turned in one of
their best team efforts of the spring. Jason Gilbert covered
the Empire Ranch Golf Course with a 71 to lead five ARC golfers
with sub-80 scores: Zack Carter shot a 73, Peter Lansburgh 75,
Jeremiah Kim 76, and Mike Jimenez 79. The Beavers completed the
regular season fourth in the Big 7 standings and qualified for
the NorCal Championships, to be held May 7 at Ft. Washington. |

at Catta Verdera Country Club. ARC was only one stroke behind
third-place Delta and four behind second-place Santa Rosa,
leaving the Beavers with another tournament in which they were
in the thick of the competition, but just off the pace. |

Country Club behind medalist Darren Shaw’s 70 and the third-best
score; Gilbert finished with a 74 and fourth place, and
Lansburgh carded a 75, good enough for fifth. |
