win over the Hawks. Wes Clay got ARC on the board first by
finishing a rebound off a corner kick in the first half.
Pai Asnaashari punched in the Beavers’ second goal when he
converted a second half corner kick. ARC outplayed Cosumnes
River for the first 80 minutes before the Hawks picked up
some momentum and scored in the final 10 minutes of the

The Beavers
registered their third consecutive shutout with the
non-league win over the Knights. In the last three games,
ARC has outscored opponents 13-0, largely due to a
revitalized defense, anchored by keeper Iber Monroy.
Offensively, the Beavers got two goals from Julio Camacho
and one each from Derek Guay, Phil Ryder, Saman Assadi, and
Tim Carr. Another indication of the improving offense was
that every goal came off an assist. Six different players
made passes that led to scores: Brett Souza, Joseph Perez,
Steven Clarke, Talor Fulfer, Wesley Clay, and Carr. |

Goalie Iber
Monroy turned in a second consecutive shutout as the Beavers
won for the third time in four matches. With the defense
solidifying each game and the offense finding some spark,
ARC appears ready to challenge in the Big 8. Derek Guay and
Josh Robinson accounted for all the scoring needed in
topping the Mustangs. |

some offensive firepower, the Beavers unloaded for five
goals against the visiting Golden Eagles. Derek Guay led
the charge with a pair of goals while Jesse Rodriguez, Josh
Robinson, and Julio Camacho each added a score in the
non-conference match. Rodriguez also collected three
assists in the game. |

Santa Rosa 5, ARC 0 |

In the
biggest test of the early season, the Beavers were blanked
by the highly-ranked Bear Cubs. Goalie Iber Monroy had
three saves, but the defense had a difficult time keeping
the ball off the Santa Rosa end of the field. Though
winless in the Big 8, ARC has already played two of the
toughest teams in the conference. |

The Beavers
registered their first win of the young season with a narrow
non-conference decision over the Comets. Josh Robinson
scored off a pass from Saman Assadi to provide the only
offense of the game. Keeper Iber Monroy helped anchor a
defense that has been improving with each match. |
