• Apply for financial aid by March of your senior year.
The ARC Financial Aid Office administers financial aid (including loans). Funds
are distributed to students who have documented financial need determined by
the total resources available to them. Use the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) online to apply for campus-based aid and the Pell
Grant/Student Loans, listing American River College (code number 001232) as
the college of choice.
In most cases some form financial aid is still available to
students who miss the March deadline!

• Complete ARC Application Form

• Take the ARC Assessment Test:
· Fall athletes should take tests in March
· Spring athletes should take tests in October

Be sure to print a copy of your math assessment results!

• See an ARC Counselor once your assessments are taken.
You will meet with a counselor to prepare an education plan, create a class
schedule, and check prerequisites.

Mike Sachau, or, if a timely appointment is not available
you can schedule an appointment with a general counselor.
• Complete the College Orientation for Student Athletes.
Your coach and athletic counselor will provide you with an orientation to the
college during the process mapped out above.
• Register for classes
You have three ways to register at American River College. Choose the one
that best meets your needs:
