The Beavers
picked up their first Big 7 win of the year by taking
control of the Vikings in the second half. ARC applied the
pressure on DVC and turned turnovers into points as the
offense showed balance and depth. Cassie Baxter led all
scorers with 20 points, and she also contributed team highs
in rebounds (nine) and assists (three). Melissa Rice hit
some big threes en route to a 17-point, three-assist
performance. Lauren Jader added a 14-point and
eight-rebound effort in the win. |

The
Beavers’ offense again faltered in the second half, despite
a valiant effort from Melissa Rice, who poured in 18 points
to lead ARC in the loss to the Bear Cubs. Cassie Baxter
finished with nine points, and Lauren Jader was held to
eight. Lashanna Ingraham again led the Beavers on the
boards, pulling down seven rebounds. |

could not keep the potent Wolverine offense in check in the
conference game. Lauren Jader had another big night for
ARC, finishing with a team-high 17 points after connecting
on 8 of 12 shots from the floor. Melissa Rice chipped in
nine points and Lashanna Ingraham added eight. Ashley
Schmidt had seven points and four rebounds. |

dropped the Big 7 opener after surrendering a heart-breaking
three-pointer at the end of regulation and then could not
keep pace with the Hawks in the overtime. Lauren Jader led
ARC with 16 points while Melissa Rice added 14 points and
three assists. Cassie Baxter finished with seven points,
and Lashanna Ingraham pulled down a team-high five rebounds. |

topped the Cougars in the second round of the tournament in
Stockton. ARC benefited from a balanced offense and a
smothering defense en route to the easy win. Ashley Schmidt
led all scorers with 13 points and added three assists.
Nicole Voigt added 12 points and three assists; Cassie
Baxter finished with 11 points and nine rebounds while
Lauren Jader contributed nine points and 10 boards. |

opened the tournament with a tough loss to the Roadrunners.
Cassie Baxter had her bet all-around game of the season,

points and six boards. Stephanie Nelson added eight points,
and Nicole Voigt led the team with seven rebounds. |

Beavers rolled over the Lobos in the non-conference win.
The offense produced its highest total season the season
opener, led by 14 points from both Stephanie Nelson and
Ashley Schmidt. Lauren Jader and Kellee Stoehr each added
13 points in the victory. Schmidt and Kristena Rump each
finished with three assists, and Cassie Baxter pulled down
11 rebounds while Jader grabbed another nine. |

picked up their first win of the season down south in the
first round of the Cypress Tournament by virtue of a
dominating performance on the boards against the Oilers.
ARC grabbed a total of 62 rebounds en route to the victory,
led by Nicole Voigt’s 18, Cassie Baxter’s 10, and Melissa
Rice’s 8. Lauren Jader led the offense with 14 points while
Voigt contributed 10 points to finish with an impressive
double-double. Rice also added four assists. |

took an early lead, but the Pirates’ outside shooting caught
fire in the second half to lead Modesto to the
non-conference win. ARC had opportunities to take the lead
up to the final buzzer, but was unable to capitalize.
Ashlee Schmidt went for 16 points to lead the offense, and
Melissa Rice turned in another strong performance with 13
points and six rebounds. Nicole Voigt added seven rebounds
to lead the team. |

reach the final 20 minutes with steady offense and hitting

points and Melissa Rice’s 11. Jader also had seven rebounds
for the Beavers. |

Beavers’ offense could not get untracked against the Dons,
who jumped to an early lead and steadily extended the
margin. De Anza controlled the boards at both ends of the
floor, allowing the Dons to control the tempo of the
contest. Melissa Rice was the only ARC player in double
figures, finishing with 13 points, but Lashanna Ingraham
played strong inside, finishing with 10 rebounds. |

Trojans a second consecutive time, the Beavers again made it
close but fell short at the end of the contest. Trailing by
only six at the intermission, ARC got the to the free throw
line and converted to stay in the game, but field goals were
hard to come by. Melissa Rice and Nicole Voigt each
contributed 14 points, but they were the only two
double-digit producers. |
